Bluetooth

I am running Windows XP and I have a Nokia phone, I have Nokia PC Suite installed which allows me to transfer stuff between phone & computer and it works fine when the phone is connected to the computer by data cable, I then purchased a Bluetooth ''dongle'', installed the software that came with it and it works great but only for about five minuets after which a small message appears saying ''Bluetooth is disconnecting''
and the link is lost, has anybody got any ideas on why this happens ? In layman's terms please, (I am quite new to computers)

Faulty dongle? Can you try another...

It could be I suppose, I have tried everything else I can think off. but thanks anyhow..
