Deleting Recent Documents list in Open Office org
4 Answers
Can anyone please tell me how to remove the list of Recent Documents (the third item on the File menu)? In MS Word there is an option to set the number of items displayed to zero but I can't find any such option in OOo. Thanks in advance

You may have to change the security settings in OO to enable the macros to run.

just googled for "clear open office recent documents" and read a few of the results
there is also an add-in that will do the same thing.

This is the kind of thing completely overlooked by those who claim "Open Office is at least as good as Microsoft Office".
Everything within Microsoft Office and the whole Windows Operating System is fully accessible through MS Office.
There is no true alternative to MS Office and there is unlikely to ever be. All the same OO is excellent value.
