Hi I'm a student nurse and the paramedics train in my building at uni.
It's a 2 year course at university, you have to pass a fitness test to get in. Knowledge of First Aid would be good, any health care experience really... I'll have a look at the criteria at my uni in a sec, just so you can compare.

Hi, at my uni to do the Dip He in Paramedics its:

5 GCSEs grade C or above which must include
English, Maths and Science. Equivalents can
include Science/Health related NVQ III, QAA
Access Diploma or A Level/AVCE/BTEC in
associated area.
