Many cultures have polygamy so that suggests there is at least an element of truth in the statement.
In Tibetan culture they had (still have?) a system whereby a woman can have two husbands.

On the road the road to De Tien waterfalls in China there is a river, the other side of that river is Vietnam and on the banks of it is a large yellow house with three storeys, the story goes that the man who lives there has three wives but they don't get on with one another so he's had to build a floor for each.

pastafreak - i am not naive, i accept that by being a party to the date/on-going relationship i am the possible catalyst for the marriage breaking up..................

but i make it quite clear that i am single, not a thing the men always do !!

But, at the end of the day, if a married man approaches me for a date, why am i culpable for his inability to committ to his marriage vows............................ he took them not me ?

My current BB who i have been with for 5 years, has had the lastest girl friend for 2 years.................. why should i stop something i enjoy with someone i like very much because he has someone else ?? He clearly doesnt feel the need to stop ???

At the end of the day i dont chase, i dont contact him for a date so im not pressurising him.................. if he wanted to stop tomorrow we would ??

All men are frustrated nymphomaniacs. I'm not saying they're all having sex all the time, but they pretty much would be doing if they had the opportunity.
It's a good job women aren't the same because nothing would get done. Everyone would just be having sex all the time. People would be stopping random strangers in the street and disappearing behind the bushes for a bonk. It would be even harder to get a plumber than it is now.
Any man who tells you this isn't true is either lying or testosterone deficient.

When I was single I was always getting asked out by men I knew were attached and I just told them they should be sorting their relationship out rather than going looking for another one as well.
I really thought I could trust the boyfriend I just had but he had been going on websites looking for other women.
Found out as he didn't shut my computer down properly and it came up what he had been on.
I felt sick to my stomach.
I think it will be a very long time now before I get into another relationship.

Precisely Lil123, thats my point, i dont know now that i will ever want to committ to someone, because i would be so so hurt if i found out after 2 years in what i thought was a committed relationship that my boyfriend had been sleeping with someone else all that time !!!

and the worst part would be that i would have thought i would have known and picked it up !!!
