I have been told that a legend of the game will be attending a course near here next month. I mean someone mega, mega famous. I can hardly believe it. I am not able to say who it is yet as there will be a press release tomorrow. I was blown away when told who it is.

about 15 years ago i was stewarding at the scottish open at gleneagles.half way down the 18th fairway, when a voice from behind asked me who was teeing off,i looked at my programme and told the person without lookin behind,he replied with a big thank you sir,i turned round to say no problem, effin jack nicklaus,he was the only person there,he obligingly gave me his autograph and proceeded to talk to me for the next 5 minutes,it was his son who was coming down the 18th,a lovely man who shook my hand when leaving and gave me a big thank you and said it was nice to speak to someone without a big fuss.my claim to fame.

carrust,

Does the name of the person you met rhyme with Powered Dark?

I'm guessing it's not Radar Riley, he seems a decent sort!
Philtaz. His 1st name does rhyme with that. His surname is a species of deer.
Yes, Jack Nicklous (not sure on the spelling of the surname) Not to be confused with actor Jack Nickleson.
Jack the golf legend used to (not sure if he still does) live here in Jersey Channel Islands, I have met him a few times whilst shopping for groceries.
