big night out?

I get on brilliantly with my workmates buy one has suggested a girls night out at the local night spot!  It's a real dive and a cattle market.  I'm up for a night at the pub but this is SO not my scene it's untrue.  What can I say to not offend her?

suggest going to a pub before the cattle market and stay for a few then when they want to move on just say maybe next time because you have to get home for, well what you think will be plausible! worked for me on many occasions!

Grandmother's funeral, Big Brother, washing my hair, Auntie Millie visiting from Nova Scotia, or maybe just tell the truth - 'That place gives me the creeps, isn't there anywhere else we can go?' (even better if you can suggest an alternative).

Suggest getting dressed up and going for cocktails somewhere classy

i've often found out that it's not the location that makes a good night out, it's the company.

you know it's a dive and you're not going to change that, so just accept it and make sure you have a good time with your friends
