self worth

If I looked at myself I would say I am most definitely the most caring trustworthy loving person I know. Id like to think I'm funny, whether people are laughing with me or at me they are laughing so humor is coming either way. I am also an atractive woman. Why do women, myself included, define our self worth on men? Sex is their number one drive and somehow the most attractive women with tremendous personalities are left single, and then men have the nerve to ask us why that is? PLEASE EXLAINE IT TO US, for we are still trying to figure it out! Is it really intimidation? Or is that something we tell ourselves to make us feel better? I don't know how I feel about it, because I get approached but by men that are far out of my age bracket. Do you all find confidence after your ship has sailed or what? And why, please explain, do you claim how much you like and care for me and then NEVER call again after proclaiming this? For example I knew a man (and that's being generous) who I knew for a year and a half. We were friends and flirted, kissed a few times, he knew I wasn't easy and wouldn't have sex for a few nice words but proclaimed how much he was interested as I was and told him FIRST, yet never heard from him again after these proclamations! What the hell?! Not only did he not come after me after we both made it known that we were interested in each other but he also threw away a one and a half year friendship! How does this make sense? I can not figure it out, so please some man explain it to me. I can not for the life of me figure out how men have the nerve to say women are the complicated ones!

I started reading your post, but half way down, I began to feel funny and my eyes began to dither and I went all dizzy.
I fell of my PC chair, banged my head on the floor and when I came round the paramedics were working on me.
I will certainly contribute to this thread after I have had my subdural haematoma evacuated and I am out of intensive care.
Please remember to use paragraphs next time.

Sara0709 - You say 'Why do women, myself inc, define our self worth on men?' Maybe that is your problem there?
A person gives of signals unconsciously and maybe guys can sense this attitude when they meet you? You don't say whether the ones outside your age bracket are younger or older than you - 'the ship has sailed' bit has me baffled. But maybe there's a clue there as to how you're perceived by men?
Or maybe it's just not the right time for you to meet someone at this point in your life. So maybe you should just enjoy all the other good things you have around you and when it's the time someone will come along?
Sorry if I'am not helpful. 'Confident' is a word I notice missing off all your attributes, despite the many others.
