Hi,
as bigger dogs mature later I would wait until she was at least around 18months old maybe a bit older especially if you only plan to breed from her once. With malamute huskies it is the respnsible thing to have her and the chosen stud hip scored too, you will find that many puppy buyers will not be interested in a pup of that breed without parents hip scores. Also if not done you could potentially be helping to worsen the problem of hereditary hip dysplasia in this type of breed.
This breed is becoming more popular recently and many breeders are worried that this could happen.
Please don't be tempted to do it just for the money you could make, having a litter of puppies actually does cost you plenty of money at first. There is much more to know about breeding than just the age you should wait for and if you don't know what you are doing, you shouldn't be doing it.
So if you are going to go ahead read up a lot on breeding and on this particular breed, talk to your vet as the mum will need regular worming and so will the pups. It would also be a good idea to talk to the breeder of your dog or other breeders to get advice before you go ahead.
Be responsible with regards to the hip scoring.
