Incapacity benefit & voluntary work

Sorry, I know this is in the wrong section.

Although I am not able to go back to work proper yet I am thinking about doing something voluntary for a few hours a week.

I am hoping this will help in lots of ways including aiding towards me eventually going back to work.

However, does anyone know how this might affect my incapacity benefit? The website is a bit confusing and wondered if anyone had personal experience of this.

It shouldn't, but go to your local job centre and ask to see your Pathways to work advisor. They are a great help.
