sky + box

would it harm my sky + box if i lay it on its side the unit i have it on is not wide enough to have it laying the right way up

Na don't do that as its chips will fall out of the side

Best to leave the Sky Box horizontal... just turn the unit and the tv on their side instead...

I had SKY installed a couple of months back and my TV unit only has a couple of shelves ( one for DVD & one for VCR) as I still use these there was no room for my HD box, so the SKY engineer who fitted it all up put the HD box on its side at the side of my TV and its been there ever since with no problems.
