Where can I find a 1900ish street plan of Glasgow. Are there any museums in glasgow that feature life in the Gorbals. Where can I find info on a Company that existed in the 1914s in Glasgow. It seems to use the Scottish archives you have to go in person. Thanks.

Here you go Arden .... have a look at this link and a general play aournd with this website and you should find what you are looking for .... it's a bit restricting as you only have a small viewing area, but with patience it's a great website:

Thank you so much poetrylover. I will have a look and let you know how I got on. Once again very many thanks.
The People's Palace Museum in Glasgow has a good section on tenement life across the city.

The Peoples Palace Museum sounds like a 70s Disco club but I'll give it a go Lil O'Lady. Thank you for your time.
