does anyone know how long you can have left on your passport when travelling .My passport expires next july 2010 and im going abroad in 2weeks .

It depends on the immigration regulations of the country you are going to. They vary, not surprisingly.

Yours should not be a problem anywhere in the world. The worst case is valid 6 months at the end of your stay - the best is just valid.

I reckon you'll be ok with nearly a year left on your passport. I went to Tenerife once and my passport was due to expire 3 days after I got back but I didn't realise until I was at the airport, they still let me go.
