I wrote to the Daily Mirror years ago when my sons were small and voting day was coming up. My boys were gonna lose a day off school and I had no one to look after them.
My gripe was why use schools, surely they could have put up booths in the nearest park!!
I got good responses everyone agreed with me!!!!
But nowt has changed, my boys are big men and we still vote in the schools.
Not to a newspaper but I got interviewed for Radio 4 years ago when they were bringing in all those changes to grants. I texted in to Radio 4 once as well but it was about favourite kids book authors and I was disgusted that in over an hour Roald Dahl still hadn't been mentioned. :c)
Yes I wrote to the local newspaper quite some years ago in reply to a letter they had printed where some prat had a go at the UK and praised Saddam Hussein......this was the first conflict not the current one.
I was pleased that after my letter had been printed the following days was full of letters supporting me.......was a bit embarrassed though as I was in a temper when I wrote it.
You see what happens jackthehat You ask a semi serious question and within 3 responses the usual neandethalls come flooding back with inane purile drivel.
