All this week theyve had fat pets on with Mr Muttivator and I cant help but think these owners that send their pics in of their obese pets are quite proud of what theyve done. Does anyone else think its actually pet cruelty and they should be reported?

Hi 4getmenot, I agree it is definately cruelty. I know how easy it is to give in to big sad eyes and begging from animal, but there should come a point where you should know that you are risking your pets health.
I have not seen the prgramme, but hope that they were not treating it as something that was amusing, but trying to highlight health issues for both pets and owners. If you are very concerned, you could email the programme?
Cheers Sue
This is one of my pet hates, they even have prizes for pet slimmer of the year where the owners can win holidays! If they were that much under weight they would be prosecuted.
Yes it is wrong for owners to let their pets get like it.

I suppose there are some cases where the owner was oblivious to what they were doing etc. or some health reason why their pet is so fat but in most of the cases it seems its just a case of owners overfeeding their animals.

Why?
