air hostess? my daughter is 17 & has 13 qualifications (gcse & a levels) where is the best place for her to go to find out more? thanks peeps x

My daughter is a Flight Attendant ( as they are now known) - for one of the major tour operators / carriers
She did a cousre at college - ( travel and tourism , if my memory serves me corerectly )
In the meantime she applied to the various airlines/ tour operators when they advertised in the press .
After quite a few dissapointments , she was sucessful in obtaining a place on a training course .
It is extremely competitive and you always get a lot of people applying for these places when they come up .
I recall one recruitment oppurtunity where there were about five vacancies and hundres of applications were received by the company .
The aforegoing might be one route to take , but be prepared for dissapointments - but keep trying .

As Berti indicates, the term 'air hostess' is no longer 'politically correct'. 'Flight attendant' or 'cabin crew' is used instead.
