what is the name of the elton john track sampled on ghetto gospel? its driving me bananas.

I asked the same question a few days ago!

Turns out to be 'Indian Sunset' from the 1971 album 'Madman Across the Water'.

If you get a hold of it (which I did) then you'll be surprised to find that the 'sample' never actually appears in that form in the original version. Several different lines from throughout the 6m45sec track have been cut and pasted to form the new lyrics.

I personally can't stand Elton John, but I liked the sample so much I had to check out the original. And you know what? It ain't bad! Let's be thankful they didn't sample 'Crocodile Rock'!!!
