Selling Non-Original CDs
I have some really good albums that I would like to sell, they are not originals but come in good quality jewel cases with reasonably authentic looking covers and leaflets and the CDs themselves play perfectly (from holiday etc.). I cant list them on Ebay because of the Copyright clause. I would like to get something for them rather than just give them away (Ive already given a good 20 such Cds to charity). Does anyone know where I can sell them without significant legal consequences? Cheers.

beenee set up a stall at the convention :>) No your best bet is just to sell them amongst friends any other route leaves you open to prosecution from the dreaded trading standards for piracy and they won't accept your case of just offloading a few copies of your own as i have a friend who got a caution for the same thing a while back.
There were some websites mentioned here by other users, but yet again the AB editors have censored the replies and deleted the websites' names. STOP IT, AB EDITORS!!!! I would have found these websites very useful, as I recently had some CD cases (but fortunately not the CDs) stolen, and would have liked to get replacement covers. Just because a website can be used to help illegal purposes, it does not mean that the website is itself legal or can't be used for perfectly legal activities, so stop censoring this website, please!
beenee, even though you have bought these cd's. You will be breaking the law by selling them on. However I agree with 5029, that should you really wish to sell them, then look for a local market/jumble sale.
There are a few web sites out there that you can sell such things on, but remember if you have found them, then you are guarunteed so has the powers that be.
p.s. although ebay, and qxl, etc.. say you cant sell knocked of goods, if you look you will see plenty of blackmarket sellers.
