Best Security You Can Buy
6 Answers
Morning answerbankers. Can anyone tell me what BEST internet security is. I used to have a Mac but sadly it became very poorly and died. I am now using my laptop for internet banking etc, we have Norton security on it but i am obssessed that this may not be good enough. Please advise.
Also i have noticed that when i am typing, all the words up jumble, ie, the cursor starts on a line iv already typed on, so all the words mix up. Any ideas?

I don't know if Norton's corrupting but it certainly hogs your resources & would recommend getting rid . You would need to use the Norton Removal tool

Personally I use AVG , spybot & Adaware - all free
but the best you can buy is generally thought to be Kaspersky

someone should create this as a sticky thread - it's the same replies - except for the corrupt norton - never heard that one before
If you already have norton installed - and you don't see a problem - let it stay until the time is up ... then is the time to think about changing - it's not the fastest ... but it always has a good detection rate ... which at the end of the day is what counts.
the best judge of what's good are the mags - they test various packages ... all on the same machine with the same viruses .... we just don't have that sort of time or knowledge
the people here have very different habits - avg is fine if you never stray out of the bbc .... if you bank online and/or visit a cross section of sites ... I'd suggest looking to pay for your protection (me use kaspersky)
and rather than just a virus scanner - you want a decent security suite - a far better all in one setup
