Las Vegas Shows - General Questions
Was looking at some shows - such as V - The Ultimate Variety Show, David Copperfield & Cirque de Solaire ( although there are several versions )
Anybody seen any of the above? Any other recommendations?
Also - is it better to get your tickets on-line or wait until you get there? Are bargains to be had?

I would also highly recommend American Superstars at the Stratosphere, as you get a meal, a cocktail and a ticket to go up the tower included in the price.
Also Dirk Arthur at the Tropicana is an amazing magician. he performs in the afternoon.
We booked American Superstars before we went in 2007. My wife wanted to see Barry Manilow which was around $150 each online but we turned up to the Hilton and asked for tickets and managed to get them for $100 each so there's bargains to be had.
Also, go to the ticket booth outside the fashion mall just past Treasure Island. They sell spare seats for shows that haven't sold out for the current evening and there are some real bargains to be had in there.

We've seen Cirque's Mystere. twice now... very enjoyable. There are actually about 5 different shows performed by Cirque du Soleil in Vegas. If you'll go to their website you can check them out.
Here's one discount site that some friends here in the U.S. have used satisfactorily. http://bargainseatsonline.saasapp1.com/Results General.aspx?kwds=cirque+du+soleil&gclid=CMDM1 6HGipwCFdZM5QodJU1gYw
We've always checked with the hotel (Gold Coast) on arrival and they had discounts as well...

I am going in September and we have booked to see Phantom and Cirque de soliel Zumanity show. I am going with friends that have been before and have seen David Copperfield and Cirque Mystere show. They said they were amazing but obviously wanted to try something different this time. Another friend said that the Lance Burton show is fabulous. As my friends have been before I trusted their judgement in that we buy before we go. I know of another friends mum who has just come back and said that she could not get into any shows - we dont know how hard she tried or how specific she was on what she wanted to see. When we were booking our shows for September there were certainly dates sold out!
Cirque de Solaire is definately recommended - there are some other things to see - Ponball Hall of Fame for example - more ideas here Las Vegas Entertainment
