A few days ago I was involved in a minor collision with another driver. It so happened that we were both insured with the same company and the accident was duly reported. Since then I have been contacted by frour other compamies requesting details of the incident. Why? And where did they get their information?

they are usually the companies seeking to help you get uninsured losses or injury claims. Its the insurers that notify them from what i can gather.
