Stirling Castle (from memory) is the repository for the Argyll & Sutherland Highlander records - it used to be their main barracks in Scotland. The Black Watch was based in Perth, (I think). The National Memorial which represents all the Scottish Regiments is in Edinburgh Castle. Both castles are well worth a visit. Edinburgh is much larger but I have a particular soft spot for Stirling.
