the guy in the middle seat does not wear a seat belt this is not legal ?

It is perfectly legal as they are not actually driving the truck. It's an advert.

How can you tell if he is wearing a lap belt or not?

HGVs (LGVs) first used from 1st October 2001 must have seatbelts fitted but the minimum requirement is for both driver and front seat passengers to have lap belts, not 3 point belts (diagonal and lap).

Lets hope they all go through the windscreen - I hate that advert with a vengeance, to the point of turning over while its on.

Exactly lankeela, The way the driver and mate just get up without saying anything,then the dude thats left almost babylike puts the spoon in his mouth and then realises that they've gone and with a look on his face that says "MUMMUY WAIT FOR ME" gets on the lorry and starts whimpering then singing? What planet does this behavior happen on?
