I have a nokia 3110c phone. It arrived without a memory card I purchased a card, but when I put it in it says "memory card not formatted " then "operation failed" what do I have to do?

say what size card you bought for a start..

it only supports cards of up to 2Gb according to the specs.

Do you have access to a computer with a card reader? if so I would put it in that and see if it works in a computer, if not then it's probably a faulty card.
