Does anyone know when the new AB will be launched, and how it will differ from the current one?

not sure when,we were told a week or two ago that it was a few weeks away. they say the changes wont be that big, it will be faster, more stable and a little easier on the eye

I think you ought to be careful about using the word 'launched', I think that would be an optimistic use of the word and I would err on the side of caution and use the term, 'rolled out', which suggests a far more cautious and faltering -steps approach
