I know this composer was born Matthew Arnold Hesletine. I have searched the web in vain for why he chose the pseudonym 'Peter Warlock' - the official site merely states, tantalizingly, that he dabbled in the occult while in Dublin. the surname's self-evident - can anyone enlighten me further?
