think you'd be better off posting in Technology curvy....
Google AVAST and AVG - both free.
AVG seems good
yep AVG gets good reviews, ive used it for a few years problem-free
Bear in mind that either of these will significantly slow down your pc, as they scan all internet traffic, and update themselves frequently. Mine are so intensive now that I leave my pc to "settle down" for about 5 minutes after booting up.
but aren't they only free for a set period of time,?
Na loggy I have used AVG for free ever since I had a computer way back in 1961
I use canastan cream.
OI MACKNOBB,
I think you are exagggggerating a wee bit there.

1961. ...? ? ?
they still had a mechanical adding machine where i worked.
AH I get it, you had an ABACUS.
I have tried these free AV programmes, and was a bit dissapointed with the performance of my system.

Have now gone with ESET nod 32.... halleluiah...I did'nt realise what a ball and chain the free ones had become.

I think it's a case of ...'' you get what you pay for ''....

Think I'd sooner pay a few quid, than hang about every session waiting for my system to sort itself out.

5 minutes a day...half an hour a week...24 hours a year...
Waiting for your system to start...?
