I'm hoping to use velvet to get sofa cushion covers made, but I want to be able to machine wash them. The only velvet I can find has to be dry-cleaned. Any suggestions?

Its available in US so may be available in the UK somewhere
velvet - being cotton - is washable and needs brushing to bring up the pile.

Dralon is an alternative and washable.
