glass block tiles

hi we are planing to extend our kitchen, is it possible to use these on the main wall at the top,where roof will sit,
or are they not strong enough for this!

If you had a lintel to support the weight of the roof you could have a section below it to let light in.

I've used them on a couple of bathroom jobs, in outside walls. Was told to treat them just like a window and install a supporting lintel above!
