I've had the same trouble when describing the device that turns off the water supply. 8 letters, starts with Ballc, ends in k.

my first bike rally was in Scunthorpe, Grange farm mcc, yard o' ale rally in the early 80's. in the morning every thing had a coating of orange dust all over it. Don't think i would like to stay there.
