TV presenters and their silly hands
1 Answers
In recent years I've become increasingly irritated by the exaggerated hand movements of TV presenters and reporters. They're clearly trained to virtually act out what they're saying with their hands, but boy does it look it ridiculous most of the time. So ridiculous that I'd rather they all kept their hands in their pockets. Don't know if anyone saw Vernon Kaye's brother on GMTV this morning - he looked to be waving in an aircraft at Heathrow rather than reporting from a school canteen. And most absurd is Greg Rusedski...as an expert for sky's coverage of the US Open, it's as if he's constantly cradling a baby and rocking it to sleep or offering Oliver Twist's bowl to ask for more. Don't you think it's time they all stopped this nonsense, or do you really believe it helps convey what they have to say?
