Can anyone reccomend a good hotel inh candolim? 3 star up please, nr the beach, its my first time going there, thanks

The Victor Exotica is good but not near the beach, whatever u do dont go all inclusive evrything is so cheap in Goa inc booze which you can buy in the local supermarket or liquor shop and who wants to eat in the same place for 14 nights ? our favourite place to stay is right at the end of the beach where there is a restaurant on the beach and small detached bungalows with fridge and a/c behind, called Bon Appetite prop is a guy named Joe, maybe someone else can give you more details, their food is really good too and they will bring breakfast to your room.

just Google Bon Apetite Candolim Goa gives lots of info on there and other places in Candolim. It is next to Taj Village but not part of their complex, if you want Goan luxury [not quite the same as ours] then spend out on the Taj Holiday Village.

Thankyou both for the advise, we have booked here,
Albuquerque Holiday Villas, few mins from the beach and got good reviews, you can have breakfast if you like and it looks nice and clean!!

looks good, on arrival pay a bit more [ things are cheap out there] for air conditioning and remember to take Boots roll on mosquito repellant with you, no you dont need injections before you go [ I have a house there and have been going for over 20 yrs] and remember the anti malaria tablets give most people the runs for the whole holiday, so I wouldnt recemmend them either.Tip well [ by their standards] they earn a pittance but most workers are not Goans they migrate in for the holiday season.Have a nice stay, my husband has just been there on business & its monsoon and tipping it down, but the holiday season is beautiful weather, walk along to the end of the beach and eat at Bon Appetite u wont be disappointed and ask to check out their rooms just for looksee.
