Is anyone able to tell me what this material is called? Is that nylon type stuff thats sort of velvety and is smooth to touch one way and gives resistance the other. I want to search where i can buy it on the net rather than drag two children under 2 around hundred of fabric shops!

Not velour, but this stuff. It's the only website featuring the fabric that I've come across - unfortunately it's in Shanghai.

I know the stuff you mean, it is used to make one way glide patient handling equipment. I don't know where you'd get it by the yard though sorry
