Dido (yes it is her real name!) began her musical career singing in her brother Rollo's band Faithless. The band's debut album was a massive success, and Dido was able to persuade the Faithless album albel boss Clive Davis to hear her sing. Clive Davis needed no convincing, and Dido's debut album 'No Angel' was released in 1989.
The album has produced two major hit singles - 'Here With Me' which was used as the theme tune for the American TV series 'Roswell High', and 'Thank You'.
The 'Thank You' track appeared on the soundtrack of the hit movie 'Sliding Doors', and was heard by the producer of massively popular American rap star Eminem. Using a sample of Dido's song, Eminem wrote his biggest hit single to date - 'Stan' which just missed out on the UK Christmas Number One. The success of 'Stan' lead to even more people checking out Dido's work, and she has become a huge star in her own right.
The follow-up to 'No Angel' is in preparation, and will no doubt follow her debut as a multi-million selling album.
