I have just phoned the Daily Express - the question for 26d is: A spiced drink of hot milk curdled with beer or wine formerly used as a remedy for colds. The crossword will not be made void . Good luck!!
How will that work? Very few people will know the clue, so maybe thousands of people unaware of this site or this answer, and will not be able to complete the crossword. Will they be disdvantaged?
It may be true that we will get an advantage; but how is that fair? It means people will have entered in good faith, but will be rejected for no fault of their own, but because of the DE's own mistake.
Sort of agree with your comments rajbury, but I don't think it matters whether you are aware of this site or not. If anyone is in doubt they would be able to ring the Express as I, and undoubtedly many others have already done!!
