I read somewhere it was pomegranite juice

I think this question was asked not long ago, sorry if it sounds like i'm contradicting you 5029 but grenadine is pomegranite cordial. Although years ago it may have actually contained pomegranite juice, i believe todays grenadine is just a mixture of various flavourings. Still nice in a Tequilla Sunrise though! (try it with Peach Schnapps, Vodka, and Orange Juice... very nice.)
