They should bloody well show a bit of consideration. Hi btw. x
my mum has a disabled space outside her house, and her local authority put up a sign saying it's for blue badge holders only.
Hi kate and NoMercy. Do you mean kate that they are entitled to use a disabled space? If so, there is nothing you can do. If they are not then it is illegal to park in a disabled space and you should ask them to move.
Sorry, assumed it already had a blue badge sign. If not, sara is correct.
First approach those that are parking in your space & tactfully ask them not to as 'you' need it & explain why. Leave them chance to act on this & if they still park in your space get in touch with your local council.
Hello Sara, Jan and Sachs. I haven't been on for a couple of weeks. The look has changed a tad, hasn't it !!

Is that a fake Legend I see posting, or the real McCoy?
When you say you got a disabled space not sure what you mean is it your designated space? or were you allocated one which originally belonged to someone else and it's a free for all?
Hi No x
hey NoMercy :o)

the site has been a mare for a week or so, but is just getting back on its feet. and yep, I'd say that's the original Legend.

hope all is well with you x
Fine thanks, Sara. I'm off to Spain a week tomorrow, so I'll have more time to chat to you guys. I hope eveything is still harmonious by then. lol
Where I used to live my next door neighbour was given a space outside his house, a painted white bix with DISABLED clearly written in it in big white writing. Ater he died it got burnt off, (I was In Cuba when he died and missed it all including the funeral).
We were all sent letters prior to the space being created, from the Local Authority, explaining how it all worked and asking for any objections. I can't remember the exact wording of the letter.
Anyway, noone m,ust have objected and he got the space. Why don't you ask the council what they out in the letter to your neighbours, and ask them is there a gfollow up letter asking for their cooperation?
sorry Kate, my typing is rubbish lol

thank you everyone for feed back ,the letter which i have here says'we are pleased to inform you of decision to provide a parking bay, work to be carried out in due course,HOWEVER',you should note that any motorist with or without a disabled badge is entitled to park in this facility.the disabled parking bay markings are purely advisory markings, which rely entirely on the courtesy of other road users
Sadly there is nothing you can do. You have no more rights to that space than anybody else, as it states in the letter you quoted.
Is it possible for you to turn your front garden into a parking space, with a dropped kerb?
