Seat Leon cigarette lighter

Any ideas as to how to get the cigarette lighter insert part out from the holder having pushed it in!? the car is only about three/four years old and i was checking to see if this works(wanting to use as a power source) but it won't pop out i have checked the fuse thats ok may be a lead is not connected any ideas + how do you get to the connections? Many thanks for any ideas and sorry that this problem sounds a bit sad!

Turn the Ign on wait for a min, the lighter should pop out if not, hold the out ring where the lighter goes in & pull up It should come out easily enough.
