I have GOOL?. I believe the answer is GOOLS, which is a type of marigold -- but I have no idea the wordplay.

I put goold (marigold) I took the wordplay as old (familiar) and gored (pierced) minus red (red leaves)

Is AB slow or is it my computer?

AB has been slow since they re-formatted the layout. Also, they no longer alert me via e-mail when my Qs are Ad! Perhaps I need to begin subscribing to my own Qs! :-)
