Darren Brown etc?

Do you think that magicians/illusionists like Darren Brown or the masked magician showing how a trick is done spoils it, or does it give you more of an appreciation how a trick is done?
.
It is like, we all know that it is not real magic as in supernatural forces but an illusion/ sleight of hand etc.

I like to watch magic then try and work out how it is done, but not having a magician’s background rely on people like that to get the brain on the right ish level to try and suss it.

I used to love the Penn and Teller shows, but I'm not convinced their explanations were true, and not more trickery.
