My mother had it and it seemed like cronic pain in the hands all the way from the wrists down.

It came and went with her but was caused by work rather than computers.
I came very close to getting it a couple of times. Both through computer mouse use. It was a pain in hand between fingers and wrist also sometimes sharp pains in lower forearm like electric shocks.
I gave up on mice and now use keyboard shortcuts if they exist and also have a graphic tablet and pen. Best thing I ever bought.
At work if I have nothing but mouse I change hands over every month to spread the load. I have the good fortune to be reasonably ambidextrous.

Cheers

could be tingles, throbs, stabbings, aches, anywhere from necks to fingertips. They're still not sure if it's a medical term or just a general description of a variety of similar symptoms.
