secondment

Ive been on a secondment that was supposed to last 3 months, its now been 1 and a half years, and its coming to an end as its a project secondment, and my old job (that i was in before secondment has been spread between other people) and im now being offered a job with a tile of assistant analyst, whereas before i came on secondment i was an analyst, although the job im being offered is the same grade, it has a title that suggests its a lower grade. Where do i stand? can anyone advise?

A job title is just that and can mean many different things at different places. For example I have been a Junior at one place and done tons of work and a senior at another and done very little.

If it's the same grade I wouldn't have a problem, my boss can call me a monkey as long as he's paying a decent wage.

If your worried about what this might do to future prospects you can safely say you were an analyst.
