Not sure if this is posted in the right place but hey ho... (also posted this is People & places just to cover myself! lol)

My closest friend goes to Turkey this Sunday to work as a Rep. We're having a party for her but I wanted to do some quirky things that are linked with Turkey, does anyone know of any Turkish traditions that could be fun to do........... or drinks or foods etc. Would appreciate any ideas to make sure she gets a memorable party!!

Thanks in advance!!

obviously turkish delight is a big thing over there and they all drink loads of apple tea(turkish) and i hate to sound cheeky but get all ur guests not too wash so they smell nice and sweaty and your friend will think hes already in turkey.
belly dancer. There was one at a party in Turkey I went to a few years back. You tucked a note in her waistband and she gave you a couple of wiggles. Of course, a million lira note wasn't worth much in those days. This wasn't sleazy or stripperish, more acrobatic; mixed-sex party.

I feel sorry for your friend, i have traveled quite a lot and Turkey is the WORST place i've EVER been too.

Why else would it be so cheap.  The peolpe there are NOT very nice at all, we even got told to f**k off when we wouldn't visit a shop that an owner was trying to blag us into.
