Hello all,
I am looking for a supplier of upside down roller blinds. They fix onto the window sill and you oull them up the window rather than down. My new flat overlooks a road and I want privacy but not dark rooms, these seem like a great idea!
Any suggestions?

I thought ya could just use normal ones but wiv hooks or tyes or whatever, on the window frames.....at least thats wot they did in one of those DIY programmes on TV a while back.....
Or you could mount regular roller blinds halfway down the window? Not as attractive, but would do the job :)

Thanks angeldraws, it might be worth a go.
Drestie- the trouble with that it that you would not be able to cover up the whole window should you want to.
Thanks though, food for thought!
Another alternative would be to fit vertical slatted blinds. These can be drawn fully closed, fully open, or angled very sharply to left or right so that they will let sunlight and daylight in but prevent anybody from actually being able to see into into the rooms.
If you do go for this option, and your blinds need to fit within the alcove of your window, pick wide downward slats rather than narrow ones. You will need more of the narrow ones to fill the window alcove when they are drawn right across and if drawn back will take up more space at the edge of the alcove.
You can buy what`s called cafe blinds. They only cover the lower half of the window.
Think ikea do them in fabric, you fit a velcro strip at top to secure it to if you want them covering all the window or just pull them up to whatever height if not.they used to do them not sure if still a current line- wouldnot be that hard to make if not, im sure!!!!
I don't know where you live but John Lewis make them up to size for you...they send someone to measure up first
I have just bought two custom Roller Blinds from http://www.soeasyblinds.co.uk which are great. Give them a call they may be able to help.
