I don't think she ever catches a commercial flight does she?

Good point, never gave that a thought!

So if you take a private plane, no one on that flight goes through security, is that right?
The Queen has (to my knowledge) travelled 3 times on a commercial flight (occupying the whole of the1st Class of course).
Whilst she (personally, and Pr Phillip) don't go through airport security, her luggage etc certaonly does.
Also, whilst the Queen does not have to show her passport, she DOES have one!Odd as it may seem, this was confirmed on an episode of a royal family documentary some years ago.The Queens Private Secretary showed the film crew the passports(sadly we only saw the outsides, and didn't get to see HM Passport photo!)LOL
Anyone "ordinary" travelling even on a Private flight would still be subject to airport security.
Even the pilot who flies the aircaft goes through a full security scan.

I bet she doesn't though.
I think the royals fly most of the time from RAF stations.....
The 3 times I know of she flew on commercial flights they were all from Heathrow to:~
Washington
Tokyo
Australia.
This was supposedly to save money, but I think poor HM couldn't get a plane from The Royal Flight as Andre,Char;es & William were hoggin ghtem! LOL
actually mr v I think Tony Blair used the royal flights more than the royals....
