I see Jamie is in a programme this week watching crocs being killed. Sorry but I don't think this is nice to watch. Did anyone see the 'New Book' advert in the Daily Mail of him with a small croc dead, over his shoulders. Put me right off. Jamie, why do you have to shock like this ?

I don't expect seeing cows,pigs or sheep being killed is very nice either.

In the series he did in Italy he slit the throat of a lamb!!!! It put me right off him - it was so unnecessary.

But these things happen! As Rollo said, seeing any animal killed is not very nice. If you don't want to watch it, then switch off.

Rollo, I agree with your entirely. It just upsets me, although of course I know these things happen, do we have to have them on the telly? And I know I can switch off - and I do. But why do these chefs - Ramsay with the pigs at slaughter, Fearnley Whittingstall, and Jamie Oliver - have to shock us ? Why can't they just COOK ?
