Make your own cakes, biscuits, bread instead of buying ready made, it works out cheaper not to mention tastier, infact do without any ready meals and do it all from scratch. We havent had central heating on for 2 years cos its so expensive but rely on the real fire and plug an elec heater on for short spells whilst we in relevant rooms.
