Can bulbs (snake`s head fritillary) survive freezing? I had a senior moment when packing shopping away and the bulbs ended up in the freezer. Do I call it a loss and bin them or take a chance and plant them out?
take a chance and plant them.
Although I have no idea about them, are they a sensitive plant? you know, shade/sunlight, etc
Where did you put the fish fingers btw :D
Thanks alba, the packet says "protect from frost" , oops, I think I might Have done them no favours there then! Fortunately the rest of the shopping ended up in the proper resting places.
if the freezer is frost free give the bulbs a fighting chance!
Honestly, you've nothing to lose by trying.
(I've put my purse in the freezer before, so now when i say I can't find it my sons look there first and then the bread bin.........don't ask lol)
yes, give them a chance, they're one of my favourite plants. You could mix them with another packet, they look lovely in a group, I keep meaning to buy some more. They look so delicate but they struggle through some solid ground under my cherry tree every year so I'm sure a short spell in the cooler won't have hurt them....It's the kind of thing I'd have done!
