A weird mating position of dogs
9 Answers
I think a normal mating position for dogs, anatomically, is a male dog should mount on a femal dog's back. But I witnessed some dogs were mating in a strange position. They were joined together back to back, facing opposite directions. Do you know why they mate like that?

one dog;s head tails the other dog's head
I also saw that some dogs were shooting their urine backwards when they were peeing. Why is that so? Thanks.

It's called a tie. Because when a dog mates with a big bitch, it gets its 'knot' in her, too, which is at the base of its penis, so they turn back-to-back like that until its knot swells down and it can come out. They do this so that the bitch has enough sperm in her, when with a little bitch it wouldn't get its 'knot' in her and so this wouldn't happen.
I can't belive the is really a question.
When dogs are "breeding" the end of the penis well swell-up and then release. However if thetwo dogs have been spooked or scared during their little "one dog stand" his penis will get stuck in the bitch intill it can relax enough to release. It's nature's way of insuring the reproductive line for man's best friend....
Belive it or not this has also happened in humans too. However it was not the swelling of the mans penis but the tighting of the womans vaginal muscels. They had to be knocked out so they would relax enogh to pull them apart.
How embarrasing would that be.
This is a completely normal part of the mating process, essential in fact. It is necessary for the dogs to "tie" for the male to release the sperm into the females cervix. This can take between 5 and 60 minutes, before this is complete, then the muscles relax, and they will seperate. On no account should anyone try to intervene, as this could result in serious injury to the dogs.
