Pocket surfer

We are looking for a means of accessing our e-mails cheaply when abroad. Does anyone have expereince of the Pocket Surfer? We want something light to carry and easy to operate but larger than a mobile phone as old eyes can't see small things too well. Any adivice/ideas?

Have you considered logging onto you email provider using internet cafes?
