My Grandad was 16lb 10 1/2oz at birth and was the second biggest baby born in Ireland. As far as I know he still holds that record. He's 86 now.

was your grandad born naturally though? Wonder what the heaviest is born naturally. Although weight doesnt always mean they are that large
blimey i thought mine were big 9lb 9oz and 9lb 4oz, Ummmm thats really big, is your grandad really tall or average now?
thank god we have diabetes screening here in the UK. I dread to think how large mine would have been if not. 9lbs 6.5oz for both of mine.
but yeah, wonder what the largest non ceasarian is?

He's still a big man now. I think it was natural....I remember his brother telling us that she was in hospital for a long time after having him. He was child number 10..!! I don't think she liked him very much...from the stories we were told.

being in hospital a long time may suggest a C-sect or could just be that she couldnt walk :)
